Keys and Possession                 

• Contact your Real Estate Agent a few days prior to settlement to arrange for a final inspection.

• When settlement date has been established, please liaise with your Agent to arrange for the formal handing over of the keys and your possession of the property when settlement has been completed.

• You will need to find out from either the Real Estate Agent or Fast Settlements whether the vendors reside at the property that you have purchased. If the house is vacant then you can get the keys once settlement has gone through, otherwise, you will have to wait until after 12.00 noon the day after settlement for the vendors to vacate.

• In accordance with the General Conditions for the Sale of Land, it is a requirement that if the Vendors occupies the property as their principal place of residence that they are entitled to remain at the property until 12 noon the day after settlement. You will need to take this into consideration when arranging to move into the property.
